ECAT stands for Engineering College Admission Test is an entry test administered by the University of Engineering & Technology shortly known as UET Lahore, This ECAT test is for F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering)/HSSC/Equivalent students who wish to enroll in engineering colleges and universities in Punjab province. ECAT test is also required at some other institutions, such as NUST etc.

The ECAT test for the engineering group occupies four major subjects:
- Physics
- Chemistry / Computer Sciences / Statistics
- Mathematics / Biology
- English
ECAT Test Structure and Criteria
The ECAT exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQ). Each MCQ is worth 4 points, with (-1) penalty for incorrect answers. You must prepare for the ECAT in this manner to avoid losing marks due to negative marking.
