CSS Exam Pakistan

CSS Exams stands for Central Superior Services Exam. CSS Exam is one of the most competitive exams in Pakistan. Every year CSS Exam is conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) Islamabad and announces the results to recruit candidates for various civil service positions in the Federal Government of Pakistan.

Parts of CSS Exam or CSS Exam Structure

CSS Exams consist of four parts that evaluate an applicant's knowledge, abilities, and intellectual quotient. These are as follows:

• Written Exams
• Medical Test
• Psychological Test
• Viva Voce

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the CSS Exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality Criteria:

  Must be a citizen of Pakistan.
  

• Educational Criteria:

  Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a recognized university with at least 2nd division.
  

• Age Criteria:

  The age limit for applicants is between 21 to 30 years.
  Be physically and mentally fit.

Dates of CSS Exam

The exact dates for CSS Exams are announced by the FPSC well in advance, The CSS Exam is usually conducted in February and March.

Documents Required by FPSC

The following documents are required by the FPSC to apply for the CSS Exam:

• Attested copies of educational certificates
• Attested copy of CNIC
• Passport size photographs
• Medical certificate
• Fee challan

How to Apply for CSS Exam

• The advertisement for CSS Exam dates is published in all newspapers around September each year.
  
• Deposit the exam fee in the nearest Govt. Treasury / State Bank of Pakistan / National Bank of Pakistan under the account head “C02101-Organs of State Exam fee (FPSC Receipt).
  
• Fill in the ‘Online Application Form’ on the official website of FPSC and take a print-out (hard copy) of the same online form.
  
• Dispatch the hard copy of the online form along with copies of your documents as mentioned above and bank receipt to the FPSC headquarters, Islamabad.
